Britney Spears not to appear at Emmys

Washington, Sept 16: Negotiations between Britney Spears’ camp and Emmy producers have ended, as Spears has refused to appear on the awards event scheduled for Sept 16, 2007.

Ryan Seacrest, the show’s host said that talks are on to rope in the ‘Toxic’ star.

“I’m trying to figure out how Britney fits into the context of television’s biggest night…I don’t know anything about it… it’s a possible first step,” US magazine quoted Ryan Seacrest, the show’s host, as saying.

Britney, K-Fed come face to face in lawyer’s office

Washington, Sept 14 (ANI): Britney Spears and ex hubby Kevin Federline met for an unscheduled meeting to discuss their kids just five days before they are due to face each other in family court.

According to People magazine, the singer was the one to ask for the meeting at Century City offices of Spears's attorney Laura Wasser.

A source revealed that though Britney had been hoping that the matter would not go to court, her hopes were dashed by her former hubby.

Britney was ‘pushed’ into performing at VMAs

Washington, Sep 14: It seems that Britney Spears could have steered clear of her embarrassing VMAs performance, had she not been pushed into performing.

According to a report in the New York Times, the “Toxic’ singer’s record label, Jive was unwilling to sign her for the show, but Spears still went on to perform, thanks to her entertainment lawyer Gary Stiffelman, who recommended otherwise.
