New Delhi, Nov 11 : US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Australian actress Nicole Kidman have made it to the list of Glamour magazine''s 2008 Women of the Year.

Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt - US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice was scheduled to meet Sunday afternoon in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheik with the foreign ministers of Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.

The meeting is expected to discuss the latest developments in the Iranian nuclear programme and security in the Gulf.

Javier Solana, the European Union's foreign policy and security chief, said Saturday evening that he would join the meeting.

Both Rice and Solana are in Sharm el-Sheikh for an international meeting on Middle East peace.

Sharm el-Sheikh - US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice arrived in Sharm el-Sheikh on Saturday to take part in Sunday's Quartet meeting in the Egyptian Red Sea resort.

Rice is expected to meet her Egyptian counterpart Ahmad Abul Gheit later in the evening.

Rice comes to Egypt after her two-day visit to Israel and Jordan where she discussed peace talks with leaders of both countries.

Ramallah - Faced with the failure of Israelis and Palestinians to meet an end of year deadline for a peace deal, Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice nonetheless insisted Friday that a final settlement of the dispute between the sides was attainable.

President George W Bush's vision of a Palestinian state living alongside Israel "will not come in a single dramatic moment, but it will come," she told a news conference in Ramallah.

Ramallah  - US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice arrived in Ramallah early Friday afternoon for talks with President Mahmoud Abbas, a day after the US conceded that Israel and the Palestinians will not reach a peace deal by their end of year deadline.

Rice had landed in the region Thursday ahead of a crucial briefing in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt on Sunday on the peace process.

Tel Aviv - US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice landed in Israel Thursday for talks with Israeli and Palestinian leaders ahead of Sunday's meeting in Egypt of international sponsors of the current Middle East peace negotiations.

She is scheduled to meet Caretaker Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in Tel Aviv in the afternoon and head to the nearby coastal town of Herzliya Pituah for talks and dinner with Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni at the residence of US ambassador James Cunningham in the evening, an embassy spokesman said.
