Karachi, Jan 28 : Former Pakistan cricket captain Imran Khan today urged President Asif Ali Zardari to reform the national game of cricket, which he said was in as much of a mess as the country.

"If Zardari really wants to help Pakistan cricket then he must allow it to be an institution. It should be constitution-based and have an elected chairman with elected representatives," The News quoted Khan, as saying.

Islamabad, Jan. 16 : Fuming over the government's decision to give the highest national honour of the country to the US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Richard Boucher, cricketer turned politician, and the chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan has said that he will surrender the Hilal-e-Pakistan award in protest.

Lahore, Jan 12 : Former cricketer and chief of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan, has called on the PML-N chairman Nawaz Sharif here at the latters' residence at Raiwind to discuss the possibility of a new alliance on a one-point agenda of the reinstatement of deposed judges.

Both leaders on Sunday agreed to convene a national conference on the issue, The Nation reported.

London, Jan 9 : Former Pakistani cricket captain and Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan has told a British court that he supported the right for people to take up arms against their government if there was no longer any other democratic alternative for them to pursue.

Khan made the remarks at the trial at Woolwich Crown Court of Faiz Balochi and Hyrbair Marri, who deny inciting murder in Pakistan, The Independent reports.

Karachi, Dec. 29 : Imran Khan''s party, Pakistan's Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), has started `Sasta Tandoor' program in Karachi under which poor people are provided `Daal' and two `Rotis' for just five rupees.

Meanwhile, PTI's President, Imran Ismail warned troublemakers with dire consequences if they happen to lay hurdles in their party chief Imran khan's scheduled Karachi visit after moharram.

Ismail said that this time party workers would not let Imran Khan leave Karachi once he arrived there, reported The News.

Lahore, Dec. 25 : Imran Khan has said that his party, Tehreek-e-Insaaf would become a major political force within the next six months to provide justice to the oppressed and neglected sections in Pakistan.

The PTI chief claimed that the poor and downtrodden section of the nation felt deprived of law and justice under the present government. His party was aiming to put an end to this practise, The News reported.
