London, Apr 28 : American actor Jamie Foxx has decided to reach out to the homeless kids across America by recording a message for a crisis telephone helpline.
Foxx, 41, who stars as a mentally challenged musician who becomes destitute in new movie `The Soloist', recorded an inspiring message for Nineline as part of a social action campaign for the film.
The hotline, established by Covenant House, a social services organisation working with displaced youths in the U. S., had received more than 45,000 calls from at-risk kids last year.

The Miami Vice actor revealed Mark Pobart looked after him when he suffered from horrifying visions and voices provoked by a dose of phencyclidine, commonly known as PCP, Angel Dust or moondust.
"When I was in college, someone slipped me PCP. I thought I was losing my mind. I was hearing voices," Contactmusic quoted him as telling the New York Daily News.
Washington, Apr 22: Jamie Foxx has been sued by a bartender for ruining his ambitions to become a brain surgeon following the injuries he suffered while working at a party thrown by the actor.
The Ray star had organised a lavish bash at Social in Hollywood in 2007, where he hired William Presler to work behind the bar, made completely of ice, reports Contactmusic.
According to TMZ. com, in the papers filed at Los Angeles Superior Court, Presler claims that the guests at the event continually dropped their empty glasses around the bar.
Washington, Apr 22 : American actor Jamie Foxx is said to have given his manager the job of safeguarding his prestigious Oscar, as he is convinced that his friends will try and steal it.
Foxx, 41, who had won the Academy Award for his portrayal of Ray Charles in 2005 movie Ray, insists that the Oscar, which is his prized possession, would be stolen if he kept it on display at his home.
"My manager keeps it in his house. I got too many people coming to my house," Contactmusic quoted him as telling Moviefone. com.
Washington, Apr 20: American actor Jamie Foxx has revealed that he went through 11 months of mental trauma after someone slipped drugs in his drink when he was 18-years-old.
Foxx, 41, real name Eric Marlon Bishop, revealed to the LA Times the harrowing past he went through and how much it affected him.
"When I was 18, somebody slipped something in my drink and it ripped me apart," Contactmusic quoted him as saying.
