New York, Apr. 30 : After the former presidential hopeful John Edwards confessed to having an affair, his wife Elizabeth Edwards writes in her new book, "I cried and screamed, I went to the bathroom and threw up."

Elizabeth, 59, who is terminally ill with cancer, speaks in far more detail than before about her husband''s infidelity in her new memoir, "Resilience," due to be published May 12 by Broadway Books.

Chicago, Aug. 30 : Former presidential candidate John Edwards has reportedly not shied away from public speaking engagements, and according to his agent, his fee has gone up.

Edwards is due to speak at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign on October 14.

Tickets are free, but the student group is paying him 65,000 dollars.

Kaler said the student group gave Edwards the opportunity to back out of the speech in light of his admission to having an extra-marital affair.

New York, Aug. 21 : One-time Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards is said to have promised his mistress Rielle Hunter that they would reunite and remain together for lifed once his cancer-stricken wife died.

According to the New York Daily News and the National Enquirer, Hunter also refused to make Edwards take a paternity test because she feared it would jeopardize their future.

According to both dailies, the North Carolina politician called Hunter after his August 8 confession on national television, and reportedly told her: "We''ll be together when Elizabeth is gone."

Washington, Aug. 12 : The lid on former Democrat vice-presidential nominee John Edwards affair with videographer Rielle Hunter hasn’t been shut, as according to Fox News, several apparent inconsistencies have surfaced that contradict his assertion that he was telling “99 percent” of the truth before coming clean Friday in a confessional interview.

Edwards admitted to the affair with Hunter, saying it began in 2006. He denied it for months it following reports by the National Enquirer last October.

But discrepancies between his story and the unraveling timeline of events raise more questions about whether Edwards'' attempts to come clean are in fact just more lies and half-truths.

Washington, Aug 12 : Supporters of US Senator Hillary Clinton have claimed that she could have won the Democratic presidential nomination had John Edwards not lied about his adulterous relationship with Rielle Hunter.

They said that Edwards’ lie over his extra-marital affair with Rielle had “lasting effects” because it enabled him to stay in the race at a crucial time, emerging second after Barack Obama in Iowa.

The Iowa caucuses, which kicked off the nomination process in January, saw Hillary finish third, just behind second-placed Edwards and the victorious Barack Obama. Although she staged a comeback a few days later in New Hampshire, her campaign never properly recovered its former poise and momentum.
