I am not a one-man show: ModiNew Delhi, Apr. 11 : Despite being portrayed in his larger than the party image, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi has clarified that he is not a one man army.

"I am not a one-man show. No one can do the kind of work I do in today''s world. If there is no team, there is no success. So if they don''t want to accept BJP''s victory, they will say it''s not BJP''s victory, it''s Modi''s victory and therefore try to create conflict," Modi said in an interview with CNN-IBN.

CPM MP expelled for praising Modi

narendra modiKannur, Mar 7 : The Communist Party of India- Marxist (CPM) on Saturday expelled its MP from Kannur, A. P. Abullakutty, for praising Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's development model.

He was charged with repeated breach of discipline by `joining class enemies'.

CPM has said in a statement that the Kannur MP had embarrassed the party by stating the efforts of Modi to bring development to his state were worthy of emulation.

Abullakutty was suspended from the party for one year on January 17.

Modi has been invited to address India Summit 2009, organised by Dow Jones and Financial News. The newspaper’s promotional email introduces Modi as the leading speaker at the summit.

Officials in the chief minister’s office confirmed the receipt of the invitation, but did not comment on Modi’s response to it.
