Washington, Mar 24 : Aussie actress Portia De Rossi has issued an apology for marrying comedienne Ellen DeGeneres in a video spoof that is taking aim at supporters of the same-sex marriage ban in California.

The two had tied the knot in August last year, when the Supreme Court had in May legalised same-sex unions in the state, but the ruling was revoked a few months later with the passing of the Proposition 8 bill.

New York, Feb 21 : Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi want to start a family, it has emerged.

Apparently, the married couple is set to try to conceive via in-vitro fertilization treatments and are hoping for a boy.

"[Portia] is prepared to go through [IVF] 10 times if she has to," The New York Daily News quoted a source, as saying.

"Whatever it takes to get pregnant, she'll do it," the source added.

Melbourne, Jan 19 : Aussie actress Portia de Rossi has admitted that marrying her long time partner Ellen DeGeneres has cemented their togetherness.

The ‘Ally McBeal’ star tied the knot with talk show host and comedienne DeGeneres in August 2008.

"Marriage is a different way of being together," News. com. au quoted her as telling People while promoting her new show ‘Better Off Ted’.

"There''s a peace to (being married) and a sense of togetherness that we just didn''t have before. And I didn''t even realise it would change as much as it has, but it''s so lovely.
