Ballesteros talks of battles for life as his "sixth major" Madrid - Seve Ballesteros said he is fighting to win his "sixth major" in his first public interview since undergoing several operations to remove a malignant brain tumour.

"This is the most important shot of my life, I'm battling to win my sixth major," the 51-year-old golfer said in an interview published Tuesday in the Spanish Marca sports newspaper.

Severiano BallesterosLondon, Nov. 15 : Spanish golfer Seve Ballesteros could be moved out of intensive care as soon as next week.

According to the La Paz Hospital treating the five-time major winner, he is responding very well to the medical treatment.

According to The Telegraph, the hospital statement said: "The neurological evolution of the patient Mr Severiano Ballesteros remains favourable. He continues to receive rehabilitative treatment and it is likely that he could leave the Intensive Care Unit next week and be moved to another ward."
