ZEE reports 10.5% jump in Q3 net profitZee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEE) enjoyed a year-on-year jump of more than 10 per cent in its net profit in the three months through December 31, thanks to an impressive increase in advertising revenues.

Zee on Wednesday announced that its net profit jumped 10.5 per cent to Rs 213.6 crore in the October to December quarter, driven by a 34.3 per cent rise in advertising revenues to Rs 684.31 crore.

Dish TV Registers 60% Increase In Operating ProfitDish TV, the country’s major direct-to-home (DTH) service supplier, has registered an increase of 21.2% in its standalone income, which remained at Rs524.7 crore for the three month period ended March 2012 as compared to the same period of last year.

The company’s operating profit in the period under review surged 59.9% to Rs 144.2 crore as compared to the corresponding period of the last financial.

Company’s Earnings Before Interest Taxes Depreciation and Amortization margin remained at 27.5%.

Subhash ChandraHong Kong, Nov 5 : Zee Group chairman Subhash Chandra has been honoured for his "lifetime contribution to the Asian pay-TV industry" at the 16th convention of the Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (CASBAA) here.

Marcel Fenez, CASBAA chairman said: "Subhash Chandra's contribution has been critical to the extraordinary achievements of India's pay-TV industry in the last 15 years. CASBAA and the industry applaud Mr. Chandra's outstanding merits."

Dish TV to infuse Rs 16 billion in two yearsDish TV, a leading Subhash Chandra-promoted DTH company, has announced that it envisages to pump Rs 16 billion in next two years with the aim to expand its distributorship network and product portfolio.

According to sources, the conglomerate plans to enhance annual revenue by almost 65% this fiscal in order to achieve a turnover of Rs 12.50 billion.

In a separate release, the company has informed that it would be undertaking a campaign to increase its distribution network, besides adding more than 200 channels to its existing portfolio of 240 channels.
