Cruise, who was just a teenager then, would take part in violent wrestling matches.
A photo, obtained by U. S. magazine People, showed the young Cruise posing after a match.
From the looks of the picture, the Top Gun star had just been through a very intense match at a freestyle-wrestling tournament at New Jersey''s Glen Ridge High School, where he graduated in 1980.
