The England striker has World Cup glory in his sights in South Africa in two years, but his immediate target is this week's FIFA Club World Cup in Japan, which Rooney sees as a potential delight rather than a distraction in United's demanding season.

London, Dec 13: Aalborg’s Kasper Risgard, who has been allegedly stamped by Wayne Rooney, has pleaded with UEFA not to ban the Manchester United strike.

The Aalborg midfield ace left Old Trafford with stud marks on his chest after his clash with Rooney in Wednesday night’s Champions League tie, The Sun reported.

Rooney is clearly seen stamping on the Dane as he lay on the floor. UEFA will study film of the incident on Monday before deciding on what action to take.

The couple, together worth around 35million pounds, are entangled in a bitter court battle with sports agency Proactive.

The court documents have revealed that the footballer gets 760,000 pounds every six months for image rights, and besides that he gets 90,000 pounds-a-week Old Trafford salary.

If this wasn’t enough, the 23-year-old also pockets 1million pounds every year from Nike, 118,689.57 pounds twice a year from computer games giant EA.
