Global leader in electronic appliances Philips has announced that it is going to focus to other sections in India. It has said that it is going to focus its research and innovation in healthcare and lighting.

As per the company these two sectors are the most promising and key segment of the country. This has been informed by Chief Executive Officer of the Philips Innovation Campus (PIC) Mr. Wido Menhardt. He has said this while speaking to the media last evening. Mr. Wido Menhardt has informed that the company will emphasize on innovation on the healthcare segment. Most importantly it will focus the diagnostics by using digital imaging solutions.

Philips Innovation Campus or PIC has been functioning as the research and development facility of Philips. It has been mandated of the development of products and systems in India and some other emerging markets in all across the globe.

Menhardt has informed that PIC has generated more than 50 patents in this country. Now it will provide faster and more accurate diagnostic tools for doctors and hospitals in India.
