Polling stations will be besieged if polls are rigged: Shahbaz Sharif
Lahore/Faisalabad, Dec 26: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Shahbaz Sharif has said that polling stations would be besieged if the elections are rigged in Pakistan.
Shahbaz alleged that the Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) had made all arrangements to rig the elections, adding that the government’s machinery was being used for this purpose.
“A PML-Q candidate for the provincial and National Assembly, who was a Provincial Minister in the previous setup, is printing fake ballot papers,” he said.
He also alleged that a former PML-Q Minister was being assisted by the Election Commission to win the January 8 polls.
He said that he had told his party workers not to leave polling stations before getting certified copies of the election results.
Addressing a public gathering in Faisalabad later, Shahbaz said the PML-N would account for all looted wealth from the national exchequer after coming to power. (ANI)
