Country’s premier software industry, Sun Microsystems is all set to organize its global annual developer conference at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC), Hyderabad February 18-20 for the third time in a row.
Apart from Hyderabad, the conference would also have its supporting sessions in Pune and Chennai.
In its press release, the company said that the three day event is fundamentally designed to display how developers can leverage Sun technologies, services and products to drive the next generation of technology innovation.
Chennai, Feb. 6, : Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi on Friday appealed to all parties to speak in one voice and adopt a united stand on Sri Lankan Tamil issue.
The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) chief said a solution to the issues was elusive because of the infighting among Tamil groups in the Sri Lanka.
"There is no unanimity here also on the issue. If all of us remain united, the Tamil race in Sri Lanka will be saved," Karunanidhi said.
Chennai, Feb 4 : Protestors of various political parties, excluding the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), today smashed the window screens of some state-owned vehicles in strike-hit Tamil Nadu.
The strike was called to protest against the alleged killing of civilians in neighbouring Sri Lanka.
Police claimed that some unidentified persons had damaged windscreens of government buses in Coimbatore, Cuddalore, Tanjavur, Vellore, Dharmapuri, Tiruchirapalli, Dindigul and Tirunelveli. There were no reports of anyone being injured
Chennai, Jan. 28 : The Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) criticized the Center over External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee''s visit to Colombo after the Sri Lankan army''s successful operation against the LTTE (Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam).
Hundreds of MDMK activists took to streets here to protest against the Sri Lankan military's offensive against the Tamil rebels.
MDMK's general secretary Y. Gopalaswamy(Vaiko), while criticizing Mukherjee's visit to Sri Lanka said that he (Mukherjee) had actually gone to Colombo to participate in the victory celebrations of the Sri Lankan government over the Tamil rebels.
