Ghaziabad/Jaipur, Sept 8 : Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajnath Singh has said his party would waive off the farmers'''' debt if voted to power.
Singh made this statement while addressing a public rally in Ghaziabad on Sunday.
"I want to assure you if you make Lal Krishna Advani as Prime Minister, we will waive off your debts," said Singh.
General elections are due in 2009 and the BJP is not leaving any stone unturned to return back to power under the leadership of L K Advani, who is the Prime Ministerial candidate of the main opposition National Democratic Alliance.
Jaipur, Sept 1 : The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) today released its list of 155 candidates for the Assembly polls in Rajasthan and 13 for Lok Sabha elections.
The list included the name of Jagat Singh, son of former External Affair Minister K. Natwar Singh.
Bharatiya Janata Party''s (BJP) rebel MLA Madan Mohan Singhal also got a ticket.
“He is being fielded from Kama Assembly constituency,” said BSP general secretary Dharamveer Singh Ashok to reporters.
Jaipur, Aug 16 : At least eight people have been killed and four others injured in two separate road accidents in Rajasthan today.
According to police sources, six people including two women were killed and two injured when a Tata-Sumo in which they were travelling collided with a truck while overtaking it and overturned in Murena police station on Dholpur-Gwalior national highway in Dholpur district.
The deceased have been identified as Vishwanath, Satwati, Gangadevi, Jaiprakash, Bhupendra, and Vinod Meena.
