Melbourne, Oct. 14 : Former Australian Immigration Minister Kevin Andrews will be questioned over the bungled terrorism investigation of Mohamed Haneef.

Dr Haneef, who worked at the Gold Coast Hospital, was arrested in Brisbane in July last year over suspected links to botched terror attacks in Britain.

The case became a hot political issue when Andrews revoked Haneef''s visa just hours after a magistrate granted him bail. The case later collapsed for lack of evidence.

According to the Herald Sun, Andrews is expected to be the last high-profile player to give evidence at the inquiry tomorrow, headed by retired NSW Supreme Court judge John Clarke.

Christena Singh, author of the 2008 Sensis e-Business Report, says that people’s inclination towards technology may be good for social connections and business efficiency, but it also raises some safety and social concerns.

Melbourne, Oct. 8 : At least 74 people were injured yesterday when a computer glitch overrode the pilots'' control of a Qantas Airbus A330-300, and caused it to plunge 2000 meters.

According to a Daily Telegraph report, air safety investigators have confirmed there was an "irregularity" in the onboard computer equipment of a Qantas plane involved in a mid-air incident between Singapore and Perth.

Led by Monash University PhD student Michael Walsh, who studied the use of portable music devices (PMDs) on trains, the study found that such devices made the listeners aloof from the reality of train travel and restricts him from standard social behaviours.
