Malaria has gripped Mumbai tightly into its jaws, with the death toll adding another 4 during the last 24 hours.
According to civic functionaries, malaria claimed 9 lives in the last six days.
Civic executive health officer Dr. J Thanekar, who found around 100 mosquito breeding spots in the F South and North wards during a Saturday morning survey, said, “We are a bit worried about malaria.”
“This is because there is water stagnation at most construction sites there,” Dr. Thanekar said.
