Kathmandu, Aug 1 : Nepal’s caretaker Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala today started bilateral meetings with leaders of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), who have gathered here to participate in the summit on August 2-3.
According to Nepalnews, he paid a call to President of Sri Lanka, Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Kathmandu, Aug 1 : Coordinator of Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) Upendra Yadav, has said his party won''t be a part of the upcoming Nepal Government.
Speaking at the Reporters Club on Thursday, Yadav said, "We are not going to join the Government by putting the Madhes agenda on hold. Instead, we can play an active role in writing the new Constitution by remaining in the opposition."
Yadav further said that the Maoists should take the initiative to form the government on consensus.
He was of the view that if the Maoists failed to forge consensus other parties would have to come forward to form the Government.

New Delhi - At least 23 Nepalese pilgrims were killed and 10 were missing and feared dead after their bus crashed into a river in India's northern mountainous state of Uttarkhand, police said Friday.
The bus, which was carrying 38 passengers, skidded off a mountain road Thursday night and fell about 46 metres into the Alaknanda River near Chamoli.
