BT India, the Indian subsidiary of BT group, which is one of the world’s leading providers of communications solutions and services, has announced the opening of its first ever BT Asia Pacific Security Operations centre (SOC) in India.
The centre which is located in a BT dedicated building at Noida, will provide security device management services involving critical customer components including firewalls, intrusion detection devices and Bluecoat Proxy devices used for securing networked-IT environments.
Fortis Healthcare has made announcement about the establishment of a separate block for the treating of cancer patients at its Noida Hospital.
The hospital said that it will make an investment of Rs 30 crore to set up this block.
Mr. Shivinder Mohan Singh, Fortis Healthcare Managing Director, said, “Fortis Noida is constructing a separate block for Oncology covering an area of 30,000 sq ft. This block is expected to be operational in third quarter of fiscal 2010.”
In a late-night encounter, Noida Police gunned down two suspected Uttar Pradesh (UP)-based criminals on Monday. The two have been identified as Vinay Katiar, a wanted criminal from Etah district in UP, and Mukesh.
Police said they began trailing Katiar's white Maruti Esteem after receiving a tip-off. Noida Superintendent of Police (SP) AK Tripathi said, "We had specific information that some criminals were coming to the hosiery complex in phase II in an Esteem car on Monday night. Our patrol team began trailing Katiar after spotting the Esteem roaming suspiciously in the area."
