Nelson Mandela announces ‘46664’ AIDS awareness concert

Washington, Oct 2 : Nelson Mandela, the former president of South Africa, has announced an international concert in Johannesburg to raise awareness about AIDS.

The event will be held on December 1st on the eve of World Aids Day to raise the profile of those with HIV/Aids across the globe.

"We are grateful that the City of Johannesburg has made it possible for 46664 to stage our first World Aids Day concert," E! Online quoted Mandela, as saying in a statement.

‘Stone Of The Century’ Unearthed

Cullinan StoneA South African mining company claimed to have discovered the world’s largest diamond, which is double the size of the current biggest known stone, the Cullinan.

Brett Jolly, a spokesman for the company, Two Point Five Construction, said the rough diamond - reportedly a 7,000-carat stone about the size of a coconut - had been transported under tight security to Johannesburg and deposited in a bank vault.
