Turkish man arrested for plotting to kill ObamaAnkara (Turkey), Apr. 7 : Turkish police have arrested a man for plotting to kill US President Obama.

The Secret Service said the man was arrested last Friday in Istanbul. A spokesman of the service said the president was never in any immediate danger.

Security has been tightened around the traveling White House press corps due to suspicion of phoney members in the media. The scrutiny of press baggage intensified as news outlets left Prague for Ankara on Sunday and before departing Ankara today for Istanbul.

Two arrested in Turkey in German tourists' alcohol poisoning deaths Ankara - Two hotel workers have been arrested in connection with the deaths of three German tourists due to alcohol poisoning, Turkish media reported Tuesday.

The tourists, students at a vocational college in Germany, were on holiday at the Mediterranean resort of Kemer.

On the night of March 26, the group was in a hotel room drinking liquor purchased from the Anatolia Beach Hotel in the Mediterranean resort town of Kemer when they called for help after one of the group fell unconscious.
