RIM to introduce at least 6 new BB10 devices this yearDuring an interaction with Fierce Wireless at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013, Research In Motion (RIM)'s Chief Marketing Officer Frank Boulben said that RIM plans to launch as least six new devices, running the company's latest BB10 OS, this year.

About RIM's move to release new BB10 devices in 2013, Boulben told Fierce Wireless that the company "plans to release at least 6 BB10 devices in 2013." Boulben further added that the first two devices will be announced at a "January 30" event; and will include "an all-touch device and a phone with a Qwerty keyboard."

Revealing that RIM intends hitting all "price points" with the new devices that are scheduled for release launch later this month, Boulben said that RIM will ultimately hit all market levels --- high, middle, and low.

With analysts being of the opinion that RIM's success with the new, much-delayed BB10 devices will largely depend on how the launch of the devices is executed by the company - which has been steadily losing market share to Apple and Android devices -, RIM said that it has a plan in place to execute the launches, and that its devices will be fully featured right at the outset.

Meanwhile, along with stating that at least six new BB10 devices will be launched by RIM in 2013, Boulben also said that "150 carriers are testing BB10 phones around the world."
