Rooney to enter England's coveted `100 club` during Euro'16 qualifier

Wayne RooneyLondon, November 15 : Hoping to make an appearance in one more World Cup, England captain Wayne Rooney would be awarded 100th England cap against Slovenia at Wembley.

Manchester United striker Rooney has become the ninth member to enter the coveted '100 club' as Roy Hodgson's side aim to win all the group matches in their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign.

Rooney said that he would never call time on his England career as he always believed that one should finish playing football at a young age and in case of him, he still has lots to contribute towards the team. He further said that he would not be interested in cutting his career short by retiring soon, the BBC reported.

According to him, there is a possibility that he might not make it to the next world cup but insisted he would not be the one to call on his England career as he would love to play in World Cup again for England.

Rooney expects to make up for three disappointing World Cup campaigns, including the most recent being England's failure to qualify from the group stage in Brazil this summer, in Russia. (ANI)
