RP Singh's claims have exposed Congress instead: Murli Manohar JoshiReacting on Sonia Gandhi's statement that that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stood exposed by the revelations made by former Comptroller & Auditor General official RP Singh, Murli Manohar Joshi said that the official's claims only exposed Congress and not BJP.

Senior BJP leader Joshi, who is also the Chairman of Public Accounts Committee (PAC), argued that R P Singh had raised the issue earlier too, but Sonia Gandhi didn't speak out then.

Speaking to reporters, Joshi said, "I think Congress has been exposed instead. Those who advised her to make the statement stand exposed. R P Singh had raised the issue earlier too. Why did she not speak out then?"

He also pointed out that RP Singh had never raised the issue during his presentation before the PAC on CAG's report on 2G issue.

RP Singh, ex- director general of Post & Telecommunications at CAG, recently claimed was not disagreed with the report that had pegged the 2G scam loss at a whopping Rs 1.76 lakh crores, but he was forced to sign it. He also claimed that the report prepared by him had estimated the loss at Rs 2,645 crore. He also alleged that some CAG officials had met Joshi at his residence before the preparation of the report.

But, Joshi has claimed that the allegations against him are an attempt to malign PAC and CAG by vested interests including the Congress-led government.
