Indian ace shuttler Saina Nehwal has stormed into the second round of the Malaysian Open GP Gold after defeating World No.39 Porntip Buranaprasertsuk of Thailand in the first round on Wednesday.

Saina has defeated Porntip Buranaprasertsuk by 21-18 22-20 in the first round of the Malaysian Open GP Gold.

Saina has recently won the title of Indonesia Open Super Series and she continued her brilliant form also in the Malaysian Open GP Gold as she won the first match quite easily against Porntip Buranaprasertsuk.

Saina, world no 8, was lagging behind by 11-7 in the first set but she came back strongly to win the set by 21-18 and in the second set Saina used her experience to win the and the match.

Diju and Jwala duo was also brilliant as they defeated Malaysia's Fairuz Tazari and Wong Pei Tty in the first round of mixed doubles event of the Malaysian Open GP Gold.
