SBI opens branch for HNIs

SBI opens branch for HNIsStaying true to its tag-line, 'Banker to every Indian', State Bank of India has undertaken the target to attract High Networth Individuals (HNIs).

A new facility of the bank that was inaugurated recently aims at opening savings account with a minimum balance of Rs. one crore. Moreover, an individual can open such an account on invitation only.

The facility, which is named Kohinoor Banjara Banking Centre after the famous diamond Kohinoor, is a 4000 square feet facility with special services like availability of relationship managers, extended banking hours, pick up and drop at doorsteps and 24/7 locker. Interestingly, customers at the particular facility will be offered five-star amenities.

Talking to PTI about the facility Shiva Kumar, Chief General Manager, SBI told that the facility has already seen as many as 50 new accounts. He expected to add another 150 by the end of this financial year.

While the customers of the particular facility can access their lockers 24/7, the most interesting aspect associated to the lockers is dressing room facility. As per the bank, this will help their customers, who keep their jeweleries in the lockers, by relieving them from taking the same to home before going to any function and then bringing it back to deposit.
