Sehwag hints at retirement after 100 tests

Virender-SehwagVirender Sehwag has hinted that he could retire after appearing in 100 tests for the country.

The player said "I want to play 100 Test matches and once I have done that, I may retire from Test cricket." He has already played in 76 tests for the country.

However before he retires from the game he has expressed the desire to bat in the middle order. He said that he would love to bat at No. 4, this may sound illogical as he is top of the order but it's logical for Sehwag. He said that he knows that the position is not available and he is ready to wait for the time when Sachin retires from the game.

He was speaking at the award function of Cricinfo where he won the award for best batting performance of the year for scoring 293-runs against Sri Lanka.

He explained his aggressive batting style and said he focuses on scoring runs and not centuries and thus he does not slow down when he is near to scoring a century. He also said that his batting style was not extra risky.

"I do not even see the wicket before going out to play. I think if I see the wicket, it might change my thought process," he added.
