Karachi, May 31 : Former Pakistan skipper Javed Miandad has slammed the newly-appointed Inzamam-ul-Haq-led national selection committee by describing it as a 'one-man show'.

Inzamam was appointed as the Pakistan chief selector in a major overhaul of the team after Haroon Rasheed-led committee was sacked by the country's cricket board following the team's dismal World T20 performance in India.

46-year-old Inzamam had shortlisted former cricketers Tauseef Ahmed, Wasim Haider and Wajahatullah Wasti as a part of the new selection panel.

Karachi, Mar. 02 : Former Pakistan captain Javed Miandad has questioned the role of Shahid Afridi as T20 skipper following his nation's humiliating five-wicket loss to India in the much-anticipated Asia Cup clash.

Opting to bat, Pakistan failed to adapt to conditions as they avoided their lowest T20 score by just nine runs. They were bowled out for a paltry 83 in Mirpur.

Speaking to a local news channel, Miandad claimed that Afridi had stopped being a reliable performer, adding that the flamboyant all-rounder had lost his place in the side a long time ago, the Dawn reported.

Karachi: Pakistan's former captain Javed Miandad has blasted the national team and made it clear that the current T20 captain Shahid Afridi didn't deserve a place in the side.

"How can you have a player who no one knows how he will perform. Afridi's place in the team was over few years back," Miandad told 'Aaj' channel.

The Pakistan great added, "How can you expect to win or improve your cricket when a player who stopped being a reliable performer some years ago is still playing in the national team. He is captain."

Karachi, June 9 : Legendary Pakistan cricketer Javed Miandad has expressed his disappointment over the nomination of Zaheer Abbas for the International Cricket Council (ICC) Presidency, saying that the former Test captain should have been offered a better position in the PCB for the improvement of cricket in the country.

Miandad said that he just felt the PCB has sidelined Zaheer for one year as there was pressure on them to give former greats more responsibilities in the board, the Express Tribune reported.
