Sri Lankan team has canceled its visit to Oxford University due to security concerns on Friday.

The senior officials of Sri Lankan team reported that the decision of canceling their visit was taken ahead of news published on the front page of the Times.

The news published in the Times claimed that more than 20,000 Tamils were killed in war between Sri Lankan army and LTTE.

Kuruppu, the Sri Lankan team's manager said that there is no alarming situation and they have taken the decision as the officials do not want to take any chances as regards to security of the team players.

Sri Lankan team has arrived in England to participate in T20 World Cup.

It should be noted that this will be first international tournament after attack on their team in Pakistan.
