''Troubled'' McIlroy vows never to repeat ''sore tooth'' Honda middle round exit

Rory-McIlroySydney, Mar 7 : World No. 1 Rory McIlroy has once again apologized for his abrupt withdrawal from the middle of a tournament, giving a straightforward explanation and a pledge to never quit again in the middle of a round.

McIlroy had abruptly walked off the golf course in the second round of the Honda Classic on Friday, saying his head was not in the right place and then issuing a statement that his sore wisdom tooth made it difficult to concentrate, News. com. au reports.

Apologising for his behaviour, the Northern Irish golfer said that he had been putting a lot of pressure and a hard workload on himself so that he can perform well, which finally erupted during the day of the tournament.

Although McIlroy admitted that even with his problems, he should not have left the tournament and should have tried to shoot the best score possible, he said that he is allowed to make mistakes as he is young and still learning from them.
