TTL crosses 75 million mark, adds 2.32 million users

Tata-TeleservicesTata Teleservices Ltd (TTL) has announced that it has been able to add 2.32 million new users in the month of July. Post this the total subscriber base of the company has become 75 million.

As on July 31, 2010 the subscriber base reached 76,058,908 (wireless and wireline). It is commendable to note that it has managed to reach this level; within just five-and-a-half years of its operations in India. It was in 2005 that the company started to work.

In a statement, TTL Managing Director Anil Sardana said, "Each new milestone crossed, we have raised our own internal benchmarks in keeping with our larger objective of consistently enhancing and improving our standards, and of providing our customers with differentiated and lifestyle impacting telecom services."

The company has its mobile and fixed wireless services using GSM technology across 22 telecom circles. In the last 12 months alone, it showed a 100 per cent increase in its 38 million subscriber base.

TTL offers its customers service under the brand names of Tata Indicom, Tata DoCoMo, Tata Photon and Tata Walky. They are both in the GSM as well as CDMA fields.
