Going by the figures released by the Chennai-based TVS Motor Co. Ltd, the past month has been the best in the history of the company as far as the August month is concerned.

In fact, backed by robust growth in all segment of the two and three-wheeler market, TVS Motors has recently posted the best ever sales in the month of August in the history of the company. While the company filed a healthy 34% growth in its total sales, its total sales stood at 170,735 units, which is way up as compared to the 127,875 units sold by the company in August 2009.

As far as the motorcycle sales for the company goes, the figure stood at 66,574 units from the 51,127 sold in the same month of the preceding year, filing a healthy rise of 30%.

It is to be mentioned here that while the month of August has been very decent for the Chennai based two wheeler maker but the fact of the matter I, it is facing a very high competition from the Japanese company, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India.
