Ukranian boy’s dad wants Elton John to take him along too
London, October 06 : The father of the 15-month-old Ukranian boy whom Sir Elton John wants to adopt has said the singer must also take him along to London with his son.
Thirty-one-year old former drug addict and murderer Sergey insisted that he did not mind the singer becoming his son Lev’s guardian.
"I''m not against the idea of Elton becoming a guardian. I would be willing to meet Elton and talk about it,” the Sun quoted him as saying.
"I don''t mind my boy going to Britain to be with Elton - as long as I can go too, so I can take care of him,” he added.
Sergey, who currently works as a shoemaker, believes that the ‘Candle in the Wind’ hitmaker can help him bring his family back together.
He said: "No matter how much money he offers, I wouldn''t agree to an adoption. I''m Lev''s father.
"I know Elton is a rich man. Maybe he could help Marina and me and the boys get a flat so we could be a family again.
"That would be ideal. And if Elton could buy me a shoe shop, that would be great."
Sergey, who has apparently murdered a woman in the past, believes that criminal record is going to do him any harm him.
He added: "I don''t think my criminal record is an obstacle."
John had expressed his desire to take Lev home after he met the kid at an orphanage. (ANI)
