U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recall Polar Bear Gift Shop sweatshirts
According to the official reports, the U. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Polar Bear Gift Shop sweatshirts due to a strangulation hazard.
It was further reported that about 300 sweatshirts were imported from Mexico by Polar Bear Gift Shops of Anchorage, Alaska, and sold in Alaska from February 2008 through August 2009 for about $15.
The commission has said that the sweatshirts include a drawstring that poses a risk of strangulation.
The sweatshirts, which were sold in various sizes, are yellow and have "John Moose" and "Alaska" printed on the front.
It was also advised to the consumers to remove the drawstring or return the sweatshirts to the retailer for a full refund. (With Inputs from Agencies)
