Doctors reported that, New Delhi Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee scheduled his routine medical checkups at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Sunday.

AIIMS Medical Superintendent D. K. Sharma told news agency IANS that Mr. Vajpayee remained admitted in the hospital for about two and half hrs.

He reached the hospital premises at 10.30 am and left at around 1 p. m. Doctors have to perform some routine checkups to analyze his health condition.

In 2001, he had to undergone knee replacement surgery. At the age of 86, it is necessary for him to timely schedule his checkups to avoid any complications.
