Mollywood director Vinayan is now working on his fifth Kollywood film Kadhal Vedham, which has a newcomer named Muralikrishna in the male lead role. He has signed actress Meghna Raj of Kadhal Solla Vandhen fame for the female lead role.

Gautham will be seen in the second male lead role. Apart from the young faces, Vinayan has also cast veteran actors like Thilakan and Charu Hassan to play other important roles. They play freedom fighters, who raise their voice against selfish politicians.

Vinayan, who has earlier given some hit and critically acclaimed films like Arputha Theevu and Kasi, has taken a romantic story that is almost broken by terrorism. The director is now shooting the film in Chennai and Kerala. He will shoot the climax scenes in Bangalore in a set worth of multiple crores.

Sajan Madhav, who is now composing for Muran and Kathirvel, has given music for Vinayan’s film. It will be a grand film for veteran Thilakan, who has experienced a tough phase for last few months and has returned to theatrer after 25 years. This film has given him a wonderful opportunity to re-establish himself in the industry.
