Firing his salvo again on Bachchans, chief of Maharashtra Navnirman (MNS) Sena Raj Thackeray has demanded an unconditional apology from Jaya Bachchan for her remark on Hindi.

MNS chief said that if Mrs. Bachchan will not apologies, then his party men will do their best to halt the releases of all the movies involving the Bachchan family.

“We will not allow any movie of which the Bachchan family is a part to be released until Bachchan tenders an unconditional apology,” said an angry Thackeray. On Monday the activists from MNS stormed many parts of the city. The MNS workers tear off the posters of all the films and advertisements featuring superstar Amitabh Bachchan and his family members.

On the other hand the youth wing of the Samajwadi Party had come forward to rescue the Bachchans. Earlier at an event in Mumbai last weekend, Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan said: "People of Maharashtra, please excuse me. I am from Uttar Pradesh so I will speak in English."

Meanwhile the Congress led government in the state condemned the action taken by the MNS activists.
