It’s certainly one of the films that just want your heart to take over your mind. Well, U Me aur Hum is superb convergence of heartfelt passion and intellectual elements., and it demands sheer sincerity and intensity from its viewers.

U Me aur Hum manifests the fact that ehenever Kajol acts, she kills the competition. She’s a natural that is what makes the Ajay Devgan’s directorial creation simply wonderful. Indeed, the direction is remarkably assured, especially in the emotional stretches.

Set on an ocean liner, the film features love in air. The director Ajay Devgan narrates his story thru actor Ajay, who falls in love at first sight with a cruise stewardess Piya (Kajol) and doesn't take too long to propose her. To impress his ladylove, Ajay manipulates all that Piya likes. Conveniently the girl is impressed and the two are soon a couple.

The real story begins post-interval where Piya's amnesiac bouts come into picture imparting a much-needed twist in the linear tale. The story goes on with Kajol suffering from Alzheimer's disease.

Ajay Devgan has succeeds in extracting authentic performances from the entire cast. Sumeet Raghavan is exceptionally expressive as Ajay's close buddy. Divya Dutta and Karan Khanna are pretty good. Ofcourse, Kajol and Ajay himself has worked to perfection. U Me aur Hum definitely stands above the candyfloss or campus romance often repeated in Bollywood.
