Yahoo! onePlace To Hit Market In Second Quarter

Yahoo has made announcement about the launching of its newest mobile content management tool known as ‘onePlace,’ which help users to handle the wide range of content available across the Internet in a much better way.

Unveiled at the CeBIT 2008 technology show in Hannover, Germany, the new tool is slated to kick off in the Q2 of the existing year (2008).

Marco Boerries, executive vice president, Connected Life, Yahoo! Said, “Over the last three years, we have aggressively executed on our mobile strategy to deliver innovative and indispensable services to consumers globally and become the starting point for the most users. With the introduction of Yahoo! onePlace, we are announcing the next essential component to our mobile product line up.”

“Yahoo! onePlace is where users will be able to find what matters to them the most, no matter where their interests, passions and information come from. Yahoo! onePlace will provide mobile users with a rich and dynamic content experience,” Mr. Boerries added.
The new ‘onePlace’ tool allows users carry on with their preferred topics using dynamical bookmarks. It will arrange users’ interests, passions and vital information into a single location and produces a deep and highly personalized experience.

The company also said that the new tool is designed to assist mobile users arrange and understand the content now available to cell phone users by pulling it simultaneously in an instantly-organized, highly personalized, and constantly-updated place.

The company added that with the help of onePlace, users can make collections of links around several topics, and the tool can automatically update a range of content including game scores and stock prices.

The mobile RSS reader incorporated in the tool help users to read and subscribe to blog feeds.

OnePlace will hit markets along with Yahoo’s approaching mobile phone service oneConnect that incorporates e-mail, instant messaging and social networks.
