Yes Bank faces internal strife at AGMYes bank is facing an internal strife at the ongoing Annual General Meeting on Saturday between the two promoters of the bank, the Kapur family and Rana Kapoor, the current managing director.

The Kapur family and some of the shareholders are opposing a resolution for electing three directors proposed by the present management led by Rana Kapoor. A shareholder said that the resolution was put to vote as some of the shareholders demanded that it should be put to vote at the AGM hold on sunday.

The results of the vote will be declared by the company management on monday. The shareholders have passed other resolutions at the AGM. The three directors propsed under the resolution are Diwan Arun Nanda, Ravish Chopra and M R Srinivasan.

Madhu Kapur, the widow of Yes Bank founder late Ashok was seeking a stay from the Bombay High Court but she failed as the court ruled against granting the stay to her. The Kapur family had said in the court that they have to be consulted before appointing directors of the banking organisation.

Sources closer to the matter said that the resolution for the election of directors is likely to be passed as the Kapur family does not have enough support or voing power.
