Zylog Systems to spend Rs 210 crore on Wi-Fi infrastructure

Chennai-based Zylog Systems has decided to invest Rs 210 crore on Wi-Fi infrastructure for providing wireless broadband and Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP).

The company has already launched Wi-Fi services in Chennai and looking at Tier II and III cities for expanding its service network. The company is expecting revenue of Rs 550 crore from the Wi-Fi space in the next five years.

At present, Zylog offers VoIP in Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Punjab and would soon launch similar services in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune.

Apart from the latest development, Zylog also has plans to explore the possibility of offering wireless broadband services to South Asian countries including Sri Lanka, Nepal, Malaysia.

The share of the company closed on Friday at Rs 331 on BSE. The scrip has made 52-week-high and low of Rs 341 and Rs 61 respectively.
