Washington, Dec 9 : Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway has auctioned off the chance to spend an evening out with her to benefit a Los Angeles-area organization.

The actress’ prize went for a pretty penny at the Cracked X-mas Fundraiser, garnering a whopping 12,000 dollars from three fans.

The money from the auction went to benefit the Trevor Project, a crisis helpline for LGBT youth.

Initially, Hathaway was timid but as the price kept going up, she turned more and more excited.

"I''m not usually very forward, but I thought if there was ever a crowd for me to do something like this, this is my crowd so I would like to auction myself off," People quoted Hathaway, as saying.

"I''m blushing, Wow, I feel really good right now," she added.

The ‘Enchanted’ actress later returned to the stage to present Hollywood actress Sigourney Weaver with an award. (ANI)
