Bajaj Auto shares soar on new Pulsar 135 LS bikeShares in Bajaj Auto gained 1.67 per cent to Rs 1668 BSE, after the Indian motorbike giant launched new Pulsar 135 LS bike.

Pulsar 135 LS is powered with a state of the art 4-valve DTS-i engine.

The new Pulsar, which will be manufactured from Chakan plant, is priced at Rs 51,000 ex-showroom Delhi.

Bajaj Auto hopes to sell more than 30,000 units of Pulsar 135 cc bike every month.

Bajaj Auto pocketed net profit of Rs 402.83 crore during Q2 September 2009, up 117.85 per cent from the same period of previous year.

Previous month, Bajaj Auto penned a deal with French company Renault and Japanese company Nissan Motor to produce a low-priced car, which will hit the roads in 2012.
