Bajaj Finserv Suffers Loss of Rs 11.87 crore in July-SeptThe critical situation of the financial market has started taking its toll on a lot of companies. The financial services company Bajaj Finserv has shown losses during the period July to September.

The Managing director of the company confirmed the slowdown and pressure on margin in his statement: "Yes, we are seeing a slowdown in the sector. Industry growth has slowed down".

The company reported a net loss of Rs 118.7 million against a net profit of Rs 477.3 million last year in the period quarter to September. This despite the fact that the revenue rose by 9.8 percent to reach Rs 923.7 million.

The Life Insurance arm 'Bajaj Alliaz Life Insurance Co Ltd has registered a loss of Rs 230 million during the quarter as compared to a net profit of Rs 580 million last year. However the situation is not so bad elsewhere as the non-life subsidiary's net profit has risen by 14 percent to Rs 250 million. 

In the consumer finance arm, Bajaj Auto Finance, it has again registered an increase in profit at 21 percent wherein touching a high of Rs 45.7 million for the quarter. The company has now launched personal and small business loans and partnered with an insurance firm for extended warranty for its durable and personal computer customers, in order to boost lending. With the shares facing a 0.4 percent decrease at Rs 150 on Wednesday it is yet to be seen how the company is going to cope.

General:
