BlackBerry releases BlackBerry 10.1 SDK OS to developersCanadian smartphone maker, BlackBerry, which was formally known as Research in Motion, has released the new BlackBerry 10.1 SDK OS to developers for several models including BlackBerry Dev Alpha B, Dev Alpha C and BlackBerry Z10.

The version of the software is not ready for use by the customers yet. Developers have written on blogs and forums on the internet that the new version features HDR (High-dynamic-range) mode in the camera allowing users to take a wide dynamic on pictures. It is believed that the when the users will press the power button on locked screen, the device would be fully unlocked.

The new version will also include support for PIN to PIN messaging, which is also linked to the BlackBerry Hub. PIN to PIN messaging was offered in the earlier versions but was not offered in BlackBerry 10. The users will also be allowed to change APN that is a part of mobile Internet settings on the device.

The colour of the Sharing menu and highlights for text has been changed in the new version. The new text picker allows users to easily move left and right between letters allowing easier text selection on the device powered by the new version of the platform.
