Chandigarh boy among top CATs; 50 get IIM calls Pavneet Singh Gulyani, a Chandigarh-based boy has managed to succeed with nice ranking in CAT exam results as he got full 100 percentile and also got calls from six IIMs, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Kolkata, Lucknow, Kozhikode and Indore.

It should be noted here that the first round of CAT results have been cleared by nearly 50 students from Chandigarh, who also have got calls from IIMs. However, Pavneet is the one who is on the topmost position.

Excited by his scores, Pavneet; who took coaching from PT Chandigarh and scored 215 out of 356 said, "I was quiet confident and was expecting to achieve what I had set out to do."

Pavneet, whose father is a businessman, also aims at setting his own business management school.

He added further, "The mantra is to combine hard work with smart work. Hard work comes when one tries to be regular with studies and reading and smart work is all about how you manage your schedules, recuperation and rejuvenation."

This year also turned out good for the city girls, as 15 of them have already been successful in getting calls from the prestigious IIMs. Another bright boy Ashish Gupta, a final-year student of computer engineering at CCET was able to fetch six IIM calls in his kitty with a percentile score of 99.86.

Devashish Sardana, who is among many who're in the IIM 'calling list' is a student of mechanical engineering from PEC. Others include Anu Dogra, Preeti Singla, Mayank Turan, Swati Gupta, Divya Kesari, Sanjot Malhi, Sunidhi Gupta, Bhavya Aggarwal, Vinay Kumar and Geetika Gupta.
