Consumer Product Safety Commission recalls Ocean Management Systems compensators
According to the official reports, the U. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Ocean Management Systems buoyancy compensators due to a drowning hazard.
The buoyancy compensators that are used by underwater divers include a seal that could crack, posing a drowning hazard, the commission said.
About 20,000 compensators were sold by Ocean Management Systems of Middletown, N. Y., from May 2006 to August 2008 for about $400.
It was further reported that the recall involves 20 models.
The commission has advised consumers to stop using the recalled items and contact Ocean Management Systems for a free repair. (With Inputs from Agencies)
