Delaware company’s small plane crashes near CharlestonDelaware company’s small plane crashes near CharlestonAccording to a statement issued by the FAA, an experimental aircraft that crashed Monday near Charleston, S. C., was registered to a Delaware company called Bogco Aviation Inc.

The Post and Courier of Charleston reported on Tuesday that the fixed-wing Comp Air 8 was en route from Merritt Island, Fla., to Mount Pleasant, S. C., when it crashed and burst into flames in a marsh near the runway at East Cooper Regional Airport.

It has also been reported that as of late Monday Charleston County authorities hadn't identified the pilot of the plane, who died in the crash.

The last contact they had with the pilot was when he told air traffic controllers he had the airport in Mass, authorities have said. (With Inputs from Agencies)
