Delhi CM Reshuffles Cabinet

New Delhi:Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Eying next year’s assembly elections, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has reshuffled the cabinet on Saturday with two senior ministers mislaying key roles.

While Finance Minister A.K. Walia lost his public works department (PWD) and urban development portfolio that was allotted to Rajkumar Chauhan.

Now Chauhan’s environment group will be supervised by the chief minister.

Haroon Yusuf mislaid his power portfolio, but got the department of food and civil supplies besides his transport ministry. Education Minister A.S. Lovely was divested of the charge of the art and culture department.

After the rearrangement, following are the portfolio allotments:

CM Sheila Dikshit: Administrative reforms, general administration department, home, law and justice and legislative affairs, public relations, services department, vigilance department, water, water, higher education, training and technical education, art and culture, environment, forest and wild life.

Ashok Kumar Walia: Finance, Planning and Power

Haroon Yusuf: Transport, Food and Civil Supplies

Arvinder Singh Lovely: Education (excluding Higher Education and Training and Technical Education), Tourism, Languages, and Gurudwara Elections and Gurudwara Administration

Raj Kumar Chauhan: Revenue, Irrigation and Flood Control, Welfare of schedule caste and schedule tribe, PWD, and Urban Development

Yoganand Shastri: Health and Family Welfare, Social Welfare

Mangat Ram Singhal: Industry, Labour, Employment, Election, and Land and Development
