Eggs Can Reduce Weight
Obesity is becoming the health problem of every household. People all
over the world are in the grip of obesity. Obesity is not a deadly
disease itself but it make a person susceptible to many diseases
.Medical experts all over the world are concerned about the rapid
increase in obese population.
It is very easy to gain weight, but it is quite difficult to reduce the
extra pounds. The recent research has shown an easy way to reduce
weight.
The research led by Nikhil V Dhurandhar, PhD, associate professor in
the laboratory of infection and obesity at Pennington Biomedical
Research Center of the Louisiana State University has shown that
breakfast of two eggs can help in destruction of extra pounds.
Researchers studied the data collected from152 overweight adults
between 25 to 60 years of age. The researchers divided these people
into two groups. One of the groups had breakfast of two eggs. The other
group had bagel breakfast. The main thing was that the breakfast
consumed by both groups had equal number of calories.
The study showed that group, which had egg breakfast had 65% higher
weight loss as compared to people who had bagel breakfast. The
egg-eaters had 61% higher reduction in BMI.
Researchers found out that egg-eaters had higher level of energy along
with the reduced urge to consume snacks. While the group which consumed
bagel breakfast had increase in tendency to consume snacks.
Researchers said that consumption of eggs in breakfast can help many obese persons in shedding extra pounds.
